MereCat (Work In Progress)

For a small project I wanted to create a cartoonish, cute character and I ended up with a cat-like creature that lives its life partly in water, eating fish. I also made it into something similar to an action figure, as I thought it would fit pretty well and managed to 3D print it later on.

The large feet helps the Merecat paddle through the water and the fins are streamlined and also help push the Merecat forward when using its tail. It can make itself glow in the dark in order to fool pray, much like deep-water creatures can. It spends a lot of its days resting on top of rocks just like seals and walruses.
